12/09/2002 :: rockin the house with Old Man

Last month's show went very well. Old Man kicked things off by playing a very entertaining and moody set (as if they could do anything but rock), and we followed them up with a rocking set of our own, complete with a few new (well received) songs.

Now coming up in this last month of the year, we've managed to squeeze in one more show date. On December 18th, we'll be playing at the Rud, currently as the sole act. We're still working on getting a couple other bands signed up to do the show, and of course, we'll keep you posted as more details become available. So, stay tuned.

** Update **
It looks like Green Formica Table will be joining us for this show {which is good, since the Rud already had them in their show listing), and we're still trying to see if we can find a third act. If you haven't seen the Table in action yet, you need to come to this show! And, of course, we're good too.

11/14/2002 :: long time, new show

It's been a few months since we've updated the site, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy. We've been writing new songs, and working hard on getting our EP finished and out the door. It's not done yet, but it won't be long now.

The big news of the moment, however, is that we've got another show lined up for this month. Old Man have started pounding the pavement and setting up gigs, and they've asked us to join them at the Rud on Nov. 26th. Things should get kicking around 9:00PM, so be on time, bring a posse, and don't forget there's a $2 cover. It won't be hard to justify, you'll be paying to witness some of the best original live music in Louisville.

08/29/2002 :: photos galore

The show on August 14th was just phenomenal. Old Man and Green Formica Table really know how to rock it out when it comes down to it. As for our own set, we were excited to be on stage and we had a lot of fun playing an even better set than the last one. This time out, we broke out a couple new songs, and they really seemed to get the crowd going. It was a tremendously fun time, and we're very much looking forward to the next time we can get these three bands back together.

In other news, we now have photos online for your enjoyment. you can find them either from the downloads section, or by clicking right here. What's available currently are some of the resulting images from a shoot done earlier this year by our good friend Neil Norman. Thanks to him for some great shots.

Also, we'll be getting some more photos online soon, and hopefully we'll also be able to put up some of the video that was taken at our last show. Keep an eye out.

update:: photos from the August 14th show are also up.

08/11/2002 :: flyers like flowers

We took a grueling few hours this afternoon to begin throwing our flyers up all up & down Bardstown Road. So, if you see one of these up in a window somewhere, grab a friend (or a stranger) and point it out to them. Or, grab some of the handbills and give 'em to your friends. They'll thank you for it.

08/06/2002 :: Mr. Panic, no button

Show Lineup Change: Mr. Panic Button will not be able to make the show on the 14th, as they're currently concentrating on recording. So, we've asked Green Formica Table to join us, y'know, since they're really fucking good.

08/01/2002 :: show recap, show announcement

Our first show went really well, and everybody had a great time. One of the bands (New Grenada) ended up having to cancel at the last minute, so the remaining bands took the stage and rocked the house even harder.

Now it's time for us to hit the stage again. On August 14th, we'll be back at the Rud, along with some good friends. Be sure to come check it out.

In other news, we're continuing work on our EP, which should be done in a couple months (we hope.)

06/24/2002 :: the most beautiful flyers in the world

The date of our first show is fast approaching, and since we haven't seen or heard of anyone else making flyers for the damned thing, we figured we'd better get crackin.

So here, for your viewing pleasure, are our first attempts at show flyers and handbills.

Oh yeah, and the downloads page is now up as well.

05/20/2002 :: demo demo

A few copies of the demo CD are now in the hands of a friend in Bloomington, IN., and he'll be taking them around to some potential places we might be able to play in that area.

Hopefully, in the next couple weeks, we'll have names & numbers of the booking agents who've received copies, and we'll be able to start setting up our first out-of-town shows.

Stay tuned.

05/06/2002 :: new site and july 5th show announcement

We've set up this little temporary site real-quick-like so people seeing our show listing (July 5th) on Louisville Music Index can have a place to come check out our stuff.

Right now, we're putting the finishing touches on our three-song demo that we'll be passing around to various clubs & bars in an attempt to get some more gigs set up.

Here's a peek at the demo cover art:

We're also working on getting another--earlier--show set up, so keep checking in and we'll let you know as soon as we do.
